2-5F000FBC-1200216-800Dr. Krisha M. Coppedge, is an accomplished entrepreneur, educational practitioner, author, community leader, child advocate, presenter, facilitator, and foreclosure consultant.  Dr. Coppedge has many years in quality business administration and management, real estate education, consulting, and project management.  She became the Founder, and President of KMC EMPOWERING EDUCATIONAL CORPORATION, Inc., aka: KMC-EEC, Inc., a Pennsylvania 501c(3), Nonprofit Corporation on May 8, 2013.

One year later, on May 8, 2014, Dr. Coppedge launch an After-School, Weekend and Summer Youth Development Program in Strawberry Mansion of North Philadelphia, PA., affectionally known as the ASIR Program, aka “AND STILL I RISE” Youth Development Program, where she and her husband provide quality educational and social-emotional tools, resources, training, and support to youth from the ages of 5 to 13.  The ASIR Program is a STAR 2 Program under Keystone STARS, and hopes to obtain STAR 3 by the summer of 2017.  At ASIR, Dr. Coppedge serves as the Executive Director.  Originally, this program was intended to provide services for teenagers from the ages of 13 to 19; however, as time went on Dr. Coppedge discovered a greater need for the younger children of the community and began offering services to students from Kindergarten to eighth grade. The need of the people in the community inspired Dr. Coppedge to want to give something great to the Strawberry Mansion children, parents, and families, and with a  full of love, care, kindness, compassion, and empathy.  Her mission is to provide life changing assistance through the delivery of sustainable educational resources through early childhood learning, educational and social growth development. This allows youth to rise above poverty through education, economic empowerment, and self-fulfillment. Dr. Coppedge who is an advocate for early childhood education strives to envision her Program to help eliminate the disproportions in education at an early age.  This is accomplished by implementing quality, innovative, inclusive, and flexible learning opportunities.

Today, her goal is to continue supporting school-aged children, their parents, families and the community.  Dr. Coppedge has been quite successful in her quest by inspiring children through her often-chanted theme with students: “TRANSFORMING THE WAY I THINK ABOUT MY EDUCATIONAL JOURNEY, I AM SMART & INTELLIGENT & I AM AN ACHIEVER!”  This theme has helped many children become motivated and inspired.  It has increased drastically their self-esteem and confidence, and they have found themselves successful academic students by making Honor Roll, improving their grades, participating in school, excited to attend school, and by looking forward to academic success by believing in themselves.  Dr. Coppedge, says “SHE HAS A DREAM TOO!”  She has a dream that the services she provides these children and the community is “breaking down barriers & building bridges” by touching the lives of these young people, and by giving them a great head start in early learning, or by giving them a second chance to rid themselves of their educational fears and dilemmas, and social-emotional negatives altogether.  Showing the world that they are GREAT individuals, they too will be capable of achieving lasting success while on this academic journey!

During her educational pursuit, Dr. Coppedge earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, and an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Management from Colorado Technical University, graduating with honors every time.
